About Hope for the Child

We are passionate about our mission because we are driven by the love of Jesus Christ and the impact He would want us to make in the lives of the children and the communities we serve.

Our Vision

Why we think it is important: We boldy adopt a Christ-centered mission that seeks to enlighten minds, to increase awareness and change beliefs that empower decision-making, to promote better lifestyle choices, health, and self-advocacy as a rudiment for the economic development of the poor.

How we do it: We increase equitable access to knowledge and quality education for poverty reduction in developing areas.

What we do: We run a network of schools, Arise N Shine Community Academies in Kenya that administer and deliver primary education, educational and community development programs for the poor. We have graduated over 3000 PreK-4 students and improved the lives of the teachers and staff that benefit from the economic development programs established across the network.

Our Mission

Provide a solid foundation in a family environment, a sense of belonging and spiritual enlightenment for the children we serve.

Support revenue-producing initiatives that will help sustain our projects.

Build partnerships with communities, churches, philanthropic organizations both locally and globally to help us reach our goals.

“Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel.”
– Socrates

Our Students

The students that we serve consist of children from various disadvantaged groups, including but not limited to, children from backgrounds of poverty, abuse and HIV/AIDS in the Kisumu area.

Hope for the Child will enable orphans and disadvantaged children to become adults who can become better contributors to society and defeat poverty for generations to come. Through education and community leadership initiatives, we inspire children to realize their full potential in life. The aim of HFTC is to bring not only food and substance to the body, but to nurture the mind and soul through love, education, and parental guidance.
